Weber County's Got Talent

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Each entry must consist of: Completed entry form and $25 due before August 2. Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Entries are limited to the first 100 contestants.

All contestants must present a professional image and reasonable talent. Any entry that is uncooperative, under the influence of drugs and alcohol, uses profanity or displays any actions perceived unacceptable by the Weber County Fair and its representatives, will be disqualified immediately and removed from the premises. No refund will be provided. Non-professional (not represented by an agent) entertainers ONLY!

Winners will be selected by a three judge panel and the audience.
Judges will be judging on:
Talent Ability
Entertaining Ability
Appearance
Audience Votes (Saturday night only)

All contestants will perform on August 11,12, or 13. During their performance the contestant will be eliminated by receiving an “X” from all three judges. Any contestant with less than 3 X’s may advance to the final round on Saturday. Contestants will be notified by phone Friday night of advancement or elimination from the competition. On Saturday night the contestant with the highest overall score from both the judges and audience will win the Grand Prize of $1000. Federal, State and local taxes due are the responsibility of the winners receiving prize money. Each contestant must be able to attend the four days of the Weber County Fair, August 11-14. All contestants selected to participate in the Weber County’s Got Talent should be prepared with a 90 second act. For acts requiring an instrumental track, a CD must be submitted in the following forms only: CDG, CD+G, VCD.

Format of performances:
Wednesday, August 11, - Friday, August 13 will be the preliminary performances. All performances will start at 7:00pm on the McKay Dee stage.
Saturday, August 14, all remaining contestants will perform. After performance, winners will be announced.
*Contestant must perform in same talent category as preliminary night.

A mandatory meeting will be held August, 9 at 6pm in the Golden Spike Conference . At this time contestants will draw to determine performance night. After meeting contestants will be allowed 4 minutes to practice their act on stage. All contestants must do their best while performing - also they must do their best to have a great time.
